Job summary

Apple's Silicon Technologies group seeks a power analyst to design and optimise GPU energy efficiency. You will estimate the power impact of proposed features and set targets, collaborating with architecture and RTL teams to improve next-generation GPUs.

You will simulate consumption with diverse workloads using RTL/gate-level simulations, emulation and power analysis tools, analyse data and present conclusions, driving new tools and best practices for low-power design across projects.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with low power RTL design & optimisation of complex digital systems.
• Excellent understanding of power consumption and estimation of digital designs and low power design techniques.
• Self motivated & independent worker

Responsibilities

• Perform power analysis and optimisation of GPU components.
• Estimate power impact of features and set power targets; collaborate with architecture teams.
• Work with RTL, micro-architecture, design and implementation teams to improve energy efficiency.
• Simulate consumption with diverse workloads and analyse data to find energy efficiency opportunities.
• Develop and share low-power best practices and drive new tools/methodologies for energy efficiency.
