Job summary

Apple’s Silicon Technologies group is seeking a specialist to drive power analysis and optimization for next‑generation GPU products. You will simulate power consumption across RTL and gate‑level models, analyze results, and collaborate with design teams to improve energy efficiency.

In this role you will use scripting to process data, build power models, and contribute to evolving power analysis methodologies.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of RTL design.
• Self-motivated and independent worker.
• Good understanding of circuit-level power consumption and low power design techniques.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Tcl, Python or similar.

Responsibilities

• Perform power analysis and optimisation of GPU components.
• Simulate power consumption using RTL and gate-level simulations, emulation and power analysis tools.
• Analyse data using scripts, power models, spreadsheets and ML to identify energy-efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with design and implementation teams to optimize logic throughout development.
• Develop and enhance power analysis methodologies and new techniques.
