Qualifications
Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, particularly slating, tiling, leadwork and flat roofing.
Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team under tight deadlines.
Good communication skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, and team members.
Responsibilities
Analyse project plans and technical drawings to determine material and labour requirements.
Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing.
Review project specifications to identify potential challenges.
Assist in preparing bid proposals and tender documents.
Collaborate with team to develop accurate project timelines and budgets.
Maintain organised records of all estimates and supporting documentation.
Keep up to date with industry standards and new materials.
