Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Ltd is recruiting a Senior Roads and Drainage Engineer in Edinburgh to lead delivery of infrastructure projects. You will liaise with clients and multidisciplinary teams, guiding engineers and technicians and supporting professional development within the team.

The role demands technical leadership, strong design capability for roads and drainage, and a track record in residential infrastructure. An office-based role with hybrid working is on offer.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering.
• Strong experience in residential infrastructure.
• Proven ability in roads, drainage and external works design.
• Knowledge of UK standards incl. DMRB and Sewers for Scotland.
• Experience in adopted drainage and highways design and multi-project delivery.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, PDS/Site 3D, MicroDrainage/Flow.
• Clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for delivering infrastructure projects from small to large schemes.
• Develop and deliver detailed designs for roads, drainage, earthworks and levels.
• Perform technical design reviews ensuring standards and client objectives are met.
• Maintain relationships with clients, authorities, consultants and contractors.
• Lead design and project meetings, site inspections, and provide engineering support.
• Support business development with tenders and technical submissions.
