Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting Senior Civil Engineers for a Glasgow consultancy to lead design and delivery of development infrastructure from feasibility through to completion. You will manage projects, mentor junior engineers and develop strong client relationships across residential, roads, drainage and infrastructure.

You will be involved in a diverse portfolio including SuDS, flood risk, education, health, commercial and industrial developments. Flexible working arrangements offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Chartered status (CEng) or working towards chartership.
• Experience in roads, drainage and infrastructure design.
• Proficient with Civil 3D and drainage software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the civil engineering design of development infrastructure projects.
• Prepare roads, drainage and infrastructure designs using industry-standard software.
• Liaise with local authorities and other statutory bodies.
• Manage projects from feasibility through planning and construction.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers.
• Support business development and build long-term client relationships.

Job description

Morgan Hunt are working with a consultancy in Glasgow to add a number of Senior Civil Engineers to their team. Working alongside civil, structural and surveying teams, you\'ll lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects from feasibility through to completion. You\'ll be responsible for managing project delivery, mentoring junior engineers and developing strong relationships with clients.

Projects include:

• Residential and mixed-use developments
• Roads and infrastructure design
• Surface water and foul drainage design
• Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
• Earthworks and cut-and-fill modelling
• Flood risk and drainage assessments
• Education, healthcare, commercial and industrial developments
• Energy and Power projects (battery storage works, data centres, renewables)

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the civil engineering design of development infrastructure projects
• Preparing roads, drainage and infrastructure designs using industry-standard software
• Liaising with local authorities and other statutory bodies
• Managing projects from initial feasibility through planning and construction
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior engineers
• Supporting business development and building long-term client relationships

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering
• Chartered status (CEng) or working towards chartership
• Strong experience in roads, drainage and infrastructure design
• Good knowledge of SuDS, flood risk and development infrastructure
• Experience using Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage or similar design software
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• A proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
