Job summary

InvitISE Ltd is recruiting a Senior Risk Manager for a central government department, based in Plymouth or Portsmouth. The role is hybrid, initially 12 months, paying up to £600 per day Inside IR35.

You will lead risk and issue management across a major infrastructure portfolio, provide strategic advice to the SRO and governance bodies, and develop mitigation plans while engaging senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in risk management.
• Major, complex projects in the region of £200-500million+.
• Risk identification, assessment, treatment, monitoring and escalation.
• Infrastructure environments.
• Advising senior stakeholders and governance bodies.
• Public sector and defence experience would be beneficial, along with NEC4 contracts and the government yellow book.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve risk and issue management across a major infrastructure portfolio.
• Set a consistent, proportionate and evidence-based approach to risk identification, assessment, treatment, monitoring and escalation.
• Provide strategic advice to the SRO, portfolio and programme leaders and governance bodies.
• Help owners understand exposure and build mitigation plans.
