Job summary

Aspect Resources Limited is seeking a Risk Manager (SC) to lead risk and issue management for the Devonport Major Infrastructure Portfolio. The role is based in Plymouth with a hybrid setup (3 days on-site) and offers a 12-month contract.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of risk management experience on large complex projects, hold a recognised qualification, and be an Sole UK National. IR35 Inside, security clearance SC required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in risk management across large, complex projects.
• Holding a recognised risk management qualification (e.g., Practitioner level).
• Membership of APM or equivalent recognised body.
• Infrastructure project experience across defence/public sector programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continually improve risk and issue management across the Devonport Major Infrastructure Portfolio.
• Establish evidence-based approach for risk/issue identification, assessment, ownership, treatment, monitoring, reporting and escalation.

Job Title: Risk Manager - SC
Location: Plymouth / Hybrid 3 days per week onsite. Could also do Portsmouth if right candidate there.
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Daily Rate: £600/day (Umbrella)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Security Clearance: SC & Sole Uk National

Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for leading and continuously improving risk and issue management across the Devonport Major Infrastructure Portfolio.
• Establish a consistent, proportionate and evidence-based approach to the identification, assessment, ownership, treatment, monitoring, reporting and escalation of risks and issues across portfolio, programme and project activity
• Provide expert strategic-level advice to the SRO, Portfolio Head, programme and project leaders, governance bodies and risk and issue owners
• Support accountable owners to understand exposure, develop proportionate mitigation or response plans, identify opportunities, and escalation matters where exposure exceeds agreed tolerances or requires intervention at the next level of management

• Extensive Risk Management Experience 5+ years
