Job summary

Connells Group is seeking an experienced Senior Risk Manager within its second line of defence (2LOD) Risk function to strengthen the enterprise risk capability, partnering with senior stakeholders to embed a proactive risk culture and to enhance governance frameworks across the organisation.

You will lead risk identification, assessment, reporting and management information, challenge first-line assessments, and support regulatory alignment, control testing and resilience initiatives to inform

Qualifications

• Significant experience in enterprise risk management within a complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of risk frameworks, governance and regulatory expectations.
• Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support development and enhancement of the Group Risk Management Framework (GRMF).
• Drive consistent application of risk policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Monitor risk profile and elevate emerging risks to Risk Committee and governance forums.
• Champion a strong risk culture across the organisation.
• Support training, awareness, and communication on risk management.
• Identify opportunities to enhance risk processes, tools, and reporting capabilities.
• Contribute to maturity uplift of enterprise risk capability.
• Lead and facilitate risk identification and assessment across units.
• Ensure risks are articulated, scored and aligned to risk appetite.
• Produce executive-ready risk reports, dashboards, and insights.
