Job summary

Pleo is seeking a Risk & Controls Officer to strengthen the 2LOD risk framework and work with First Line teams across Product, Operations, Finance and Compliance. You will drive risk maturity and deliver practical risk guidance as the company scales in a fast‑growing FinTech environment.

Reporting to the Head of Risk and Control, you’ll execute RCSAs, challenge 1LOD findings, and help shape risk reporting for governance. Hybrid or in-person work supported across locations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a regulated financial services environment (FinTech, banking, payments, or similar).
• Solid understanding of credit risk assessment and management.
• Experience with operational, technology, and product risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Risk Framework Execution within Pleo's 2LOD oversight.
• Execute oversight activities including RCSAs and control reviews.
• Identify and assess risks across operational, technology, product, and credit domains.
• Be a reliable risk advisor to business teams with practical guidance on risk topics.
• Support risk reporting and regulatory engagement with senior management.
