Job summary

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced governance and risk manager to lead risk and incident management across the division. You will develop policies, oversee risk register, and advise clinical teams and governance groups.

The post requires MSc level knowledge, extensive NHS risk governance experience, and strong data analysis skills. Flexible working may be considered; you will work with the patient safety team to deliver a robust governance model.

Qualifications

• Masters level or equivalent experience in risk/governance.
• Experience advising staff at multiple levels in NHS organisations.
• Knowledge of PSIRF and incident management frameworks.
• Ability to produce concise reports and governance summaries.

Responsibilities

• Produce risk and governance reports for divisional and organisational meetings.
• Oversee risk register maintenance and escalation of serious incidents.
• Lead on training for risk/governance and support staff in investigations.
