Job summary

NatWest Group is seeking a Senior Risk & Controls Associate to embed risk and control mechanisms across the business. You will independently oversee risk management and challenge risk controls while supporting the design and delivery of our risk framework and regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will partner with Product, Operations and other functions to implement compliant solutions, manage regulatory risk, and drive governance with senior risk colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience in a compliance, conduct or risk management role or similar.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (BCOBs, Consumer Duty, Consumer Credit Act) is desirable.
• Ability to interpret regulatory rules and translate into product design and operations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product and Operations to design and implement compliant solutions.
• Provide guidance to ensure regulatory obligations and governance requirements are met.
• Support the development and delivery of risk-based controls and the risk framework.
• Manage regulatory risk through identification, interpretation and remediation activities.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders (FLOD/SLOD) on risk-driven priorities and policies.
• Develop and embed Risk MI, RAID log updates, and escalation processes.
