Job summary

NatWest is seeking a Senior Risk & Controls Associate to lead and embed effective risk management and control frameworks. You will work with Product, Operations and Technology to ensure products stay within risk appetite and regulatory requirements.

Day-to-day, you will design and implement risk-based controls, drive the governance process, and partner with senior risk colleagues to escalate issues and steer priority initiatives. Hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk or compliance roles with oversight of controls.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks (BCOBs, Consumer Duty, etc.).
• Ability to translate policy into practical product governance.

Responsibilities

• Support, develop and embed risk and control mechanisms across the business.
• Design, implement and deliver risk framework processes with key stakeholders.
• Provide risk and control advice to ensure regulatory compliance and governance.
• Develop risk-based controls and key risk indicators; maintain RAID logs.
• Partner with Product and Operations to design compliant, customer outcomes.
• Engage with senior risk stakeholders to align priorities and processes.
• Support remediation activities and risk events with build-and-run actions.
