Job summary

NatWest Group in London is seeking a Senior Risk & Controls Associate to help design, implement and embed our risk framework across product and operations.

You will partner with stakeholders to ensure regulatory obligations are met, manage risk indicators and support remediation activities while balancing business needs.

The role offers exposure to a broad risk landscape, with opportunities to influence policy and contribute to a safer, compliant customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a compliance, conduct or risk management role.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and ability to interpret rules.
• Ability to risk partner Product and Operational teams to launch new capabilities.
• Experience with Lending or Savings products is helpful.
• Ability to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders.
• Experience in fast-paced, agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to design and implement compliant solutions within risk appetite.
• Provide guidance on risk and control management to meet regulatory obligations.
• Ensure customer and conduct outcomes for POS Lending, Unsecured Personal Loans or Savings are delivered through processes and controls.
• Support the design, implementation and ongoing application of a risk-based controls framework.
• Lead regulatory risk management and drive changes through build and run activities.
• Partner to resolve ad-hoc events that create unanticipated risk.
• Collaborate with product/functional teams to ensure compliant product design.
• Interface with senior risk colleagues in setting risk-driven priorities, policies and processes.
• Develop and embed Risk MI and maintain RAID logs, escalating as needed.
