Job summary

De Montfort University is recruiting an experienced Risk, Business Continuity & Major Incident Manager in Leicester, to strengthen resilience and preparedness. You will lead risk, business continuity and major incident response across the university, working with senior leaders and faculties to provide specialist guidance and robust governance.

The role requires shaping and maintaining frameworks, reporting to governance bodies, and delivering tests and improvements to strengthen disruption

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Business Continuity Management, risk management, organisational resilience and major incident management.
Ability to develop and improve risk, business continuity and resilience frameworks, processes and plans.
Ability to assess risk, business impact and dependencies and translate complex information into practical recommendations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

Lead the University's risk management framework and provide reporting, insight and assurance to senior leaders and governance groups.
Lead the Business Continuity Management framework, maintain critical service recovery requirements and coordinate annual exercises.
Act as the subject matter expert for major incident management, ensuring guidance, training and governance for incident response.
Lead post-incident reviews, capture lessons learned and ensure improvements are embedded.
