Role Description

Are you ready to make a significant impact in a fast-paced and agile environment? You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our business strategy, working closely with the Head of Prudential Risk & Risk Frameworks. You’ll proactively help drive simple to understand solutions that enhance our risk management support the delivery of more strategic objectives.

This role is perfect for someone with a good understanding of risk management and who is eager for a more dynamic and engaging position.

Principal Accountabilities

Support business-as-usual tasks (with the H/O Prudential Risk & Risk Frameworks) which include updating the following: Risk Management Framework, Risk Taxonomy and Risk Appetite Statements and associated Key Risk Indicators
Responsible for Policy Standards and maintaining the policy module within our risk management system.
Compile the monthly pack for Risk Management Committee – Collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate production
Take ownership to develop more meaningful MI and enhancements to the pack
Provide data driven insight and trend analysis on the bank’s key risk metrics
Present recommendations and insights to the H/O Prudential Risk & Risk Frameworks, the CRO and potentially to committees
Work closely with managers and contribute to ad-hoc projects to help the bank move forward at pace
Work with stakeholders to ensure all policy and framework documents are updated in accordance with their review schedules and follow a standardised format
Support the maturing of the bank’s understanding and management of Business Sustainability Risks
Coordinate an effective central horizon scanning tool and ensure it captures all regulatory and legal changes by engaging with appropriate stakeholders
Be part of a team that ensures that the bank’s risk management framework is fit for purpose and will develop in line with the growth & complexity of the organisation
Provide an integrated view of the bank’s risk profile through the development of comprehensive reporting, trends analysis, emerging issues and necessary actions
Liaise with key risk owners to support the embedding of three lines of defence

Personal Attributes & Experience

Can demonstrate a proactive and self-motivated attitude with a willingness to get “stuck in”
A proven ability to work independently and deliver effective and concise solutions/ recommendations
A desire to think strategically and support delivery of ad-hoc work to a high degree of accuracy and at pace
Great organisational skills with an ability to meet deadlines whilst multi-tasking
Excellent engagement skills both written and verbal
Experience & knowledge of enterprise risk management would be beneficial
A proven ability to interpret data ideally using appropriate coding techniques, statistical modelling techniques and an ability to translate outputs into a clear report that can be used with stakeholders
Experience/a desire to work with AI safely to improve productivity
