Leonardo in the UK is seeking an RF and Signal Processing Specialist within the Systems Engineering Function to design and develop requirements and solutions at the heart of our signal processing kernel for defence systems.

The role is based on-site at our Luton site, with opportunities to work across current RAF platforms and advanced future programmes, including GCAP and Tempest, while mentoring other engineers and delivering papers and proposals to customers and partners.

Formación

• Science-based Honours degree or equivalent experience.
• Industrial or academic research experience.
• Mathematical background in data analysis and pattern matching.
• Experience in design of algorithms for embedded real-time systems.
• Knowledge of Sensor Fusion technologies and strategies.
• Interest in electronic warfare domain knowledge.
• Willingness to learn and develop engineering knowledge.
• Familiarity with MBSE and systems engineering lifecycle concepts.

Responsabilidades

• Early concept studies investigating new technology on future platforms.
• Engaging with stakeholders and defining requirements for a new system.
• Conducting cost and functional performance trade-offs of proposed solutions.
• Designing and integrating new functionality into an existing system.
• Root-cause analysis of anomalies during integration or evaluation.
• Designing and conducting testing and trials to prove equipment function.
• Mentoring and coaching other engineers.
• Delivering reports, presentations and proposals to customers and industry partners.
