Job summary

RedTech Recruitment Ltd. is assisting a stealth start-up in the North Uttlesford/Greater Cambridge area to hire an experienced RF Engineer. The role focuses on developing, testing and enhancing RF circuits, antennas and systems to meet performance and regulatory standards on-site.

Candidates should hold a 1st class honours or a high 2.1 in engineering, maths, physics or electronics and be eligible for DV/SC clearance. On-site work with cutting-edge projects awaits.

Qualifications

• Top academic credentials required (1st or 2:1).
• Experience in RF design and testing.
• Phased array antennas and beamforming knowledge.
• Experience with RF front-end components and standards.
• Knowledge of SDRs and GNU Radio for signal processing.
• Must be eligible for SC Clearance.
• Full UK driving licence or a plan to obtain one within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine RF components and systems, incl. antennas, filters and amplifiers.
• Model RF systems using HFSS, CST, ADS and MATLAB.
• Test and validate RF hardware to meet performance and regulatory standards.
• Address RF interference and signal integrity issues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate RF elements.
• Design phased array antennas and implement beamforming tech.
• Record test outcomes and ensure EMC/EMI compliance.
• Work with SDRs and GNU Radio for processing and evaluation.
