Job summary

ALTEN Ltd in Templecombe is seeking an experienced RF Systems Engineer to join a team developing advanced communications and sensing technologies for challenging environments. You will design, analyse, integrate and test RF systems, contributing to high-performance solutions across complex platforms.

The role requires 5+ years' experience in RF design, strong knowledge of RF architectures, and willingness to obtain SC clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or relevant technical military background with equivalent experience.
• Experience developing RF systems within complex engineering programmes.
• Experience using ADS, Microwave Office, PSPICE, MATLAB, or equivalent RF development environments.
• Experience conducting RF testing, measurement, fault-finding, and debugging.
• Knowledge of antenna, Satcom, or RF distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RF circuits and subsystem architectures.
• Perform RF simulation, modelling, and performance analysis.
• Support test, integration and verification activities.
• Conduct RF troubleshooting, fault finding, and performance optimisation.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and design artefacts.
• Collaborate with systems, electronics and programme teams.
