Job summary

Brewers Decorator Centre in Cambridge is seeking a friendly and reliable Senior Retail Sales Advisor to provide exceptional service to customers in store. You will support the Branch Manager and help keep the branch running smoothly, with no prior product knowledge required if you bring strong customer service, sales experience and team working skills.

The role covers 40 hours per week over 5 days (Mon-Fri with Saturdays on a rota), based at the Cambridge store on Cambridge Road Industrial

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, ideally in a team leader or supervisory role.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills to translate requirements into product recommendations.
• Highly motivated with drive to succeed and do a great job.
• Approachable and open personality; happy to help customers and colleagues.
• Ability to motivate and inspire colleagues to achieve high levels of service.
• Willingness to learn, develop skills and progress in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Branch Manager with developing the branch and team, deputising in their absence.
• Provide exceptional service to customers in branch to reinforce Brewers service reputation.
• Handle cash and related supervisory tasks as a keyholder.
• Allocate work to the team and keep them motivated.
• Use product knowledge to recommend best products for customer needs.
• Plan and agree sales forecasts with the Branch Manager in line with targets.
• Ensure orders and inquiries are promptly dealt with and followed up.
• Mix paint for customers, process specialist orders and request stock as needed.
• Build relationships with customers to identify needs and provide comprehensive service.
• Promote seasonal items and merchandise to increase visibility and sales.
• Assist with stock maintenance in the branch.
