Job summary

George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Specialist Respiratory Physiologist / Healthcare Scientist to join the Physiological Sciences Department in a Band 6 role. The post is full-time, permanent, and offers a salary in the higher-£30k range with Agenda for Change terms.

The successful candidate will perform advanced respiratory, sleep and oesophageal testing, support inpatients and outpatients, and deputise for the Lead Respiratory Physiologist as needed.

Qualifications

• Qualified Band 6 Respiratory Physiologist with ARTP Part 1 and 2 or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification in lung function and sleep settings.
• Able to communicate with multi-disciplinary teams and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of respiratory measurements, including sleep and oesophageal services, for out-patients and in-patients.
• Demonstrate proactive workload management and deputise for Lead Respiratory Physiologist when required.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and contribute to service development.
