Job summary

University Hospitals Of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Respiratory Physiologist to join the busy Respiratory Physiology department. You will be responsible for a broad range of respiratory investigations in adults, including spirometry, lung function testing, reversibility studies, blood gas analysis, sleep and ventilation services.

Qualifications

• Hold a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent
• ARTP Practitioners Professional Examination preferred or in progress
• Ideally on RCCP voluntary register

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret respiratory investigations including full pulmonary function tests with bronchodilator therapy
• Supervise and perform CPETs for adults and adolescents with appropriate interpretation
• Implement and interpret blood gas analysis to assess respiratory status and oxygen/NIV needs
• Interpret and perform sleep investigations and advise on therapy for sleep-related disorders (NIV/CPAP)
