Job summary

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Chief Respiratory Physiologist to undertake a wide range of respiratory and sleep diagnostic tests across our sites in Harlow and the community diagnostic centre at St Margaret’s Hospital, Epping.

You will perform, interpret, and report lung function investigations, ensure quality results, and contribute to service development through teaching and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience in lung function testing and interpretation.
• Ability to interpret results and produce clear reports.
• Strong communication skills with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Manage data systems for lung function testing and ensure data quality.
• Implement local/national policies and guidelines in clinical areas.
• Develop and implement new ways of working to improve efficiency in the service.
• Contribute to audits and research within the department as required.
• Plan day-to-day activities for staff within the Lung Function Services (Adults).
