Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust seeks a Senior Respiratory Physiologist to join a busy department. You will perform spirometry, lung function testing, blood gas analysis, and sleep/ventilation services, with leadership potential in a specialist area.

Applicants should have a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent with at least 2 years' experience, and ideally ARTP Practitioners exam progress and RCCP registration. You will contribute to training, QA, and service development.

Qualifications

• BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years experience.
• ARTP Practitioners Professional Examination or working towards it.
• Ideally RCCP voluntary register.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in performing and interpreting all respiratory investigations.
• Lead in one specialist area and contribute to department training and development.
• Assist with supervision and training of technical staff and other professionals.
• Perform and interpret CPETs and sleep investigations; advise on therapy.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and ensure QA.
