Job summary

Ordnance Survey, the UK’s national mapping service, is seeking a strategic Head of Resilience in Southampton. The role leads enterprise-wide resilience, business continuity and crisis management across the organisation, reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer.

You will shape resilience across risk, partners and government stakeholders, ensuring services stay available in disruptions. Hybrid working is offered with a minimum of four days per week in Southampton.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in organisational resilience, business continuity or crisis management within complex environments.
• Experience implementing mature resilience frameworks and governance.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and translate risk into action.

Responsibilities

• Lead the evolution of OS's organisational resilience capability and maturity.
• Design and embed business continuity, crisis management and incident response frameworks.
• Prepare the organisation through exercises, scenario planning and resilience testing.
• Support Executives during incidents, aiding structured decision-making under pressure.
• Build trusted relationships with government bodies, emergency services, suppliers and partners.
• Create a culture where resilience is everyone’s responsibility.
• Develop resilience knowledge and capability through training and exercises.
