Job summary

Heritage Children's Homes in Swindon, Wiltshire, is seeking an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join our Ofsted-rated Good home. This is a values-led role supporting young people with complex needs and leading a caring team.

You will work 37.5 hours per week across 24 and 48-hour shifts, with a base salary of £34,500 plus £70 per sleep-in, aiming for £40,000+ per year including sleep-ins. The role is permanent and full-time, starting as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home
• Act as a role model for trauma-informed and child-centred practice
• Support, coach and mentor Residential Support Workers
• Build positive, professional relationships with young people
• Promote safeguarding, emotional wellbeing and positive outcomes
• Support young people with routines, education, appointments and activities
• Assist with care planning, risk management and record keeping
• Complete reports, handovers and documentation to a high standard
• Work collaboratively with families, social workers, schools and health professionals
• Assist managers with quality assurance and service development
• Work a rota that includes sleep-ins, weekends and bank holidays
