Job summary

Kisimul Group in Hayton, Retford is seeking a Senior Support Worker for Adult Services with Learning Disabilities at Tigh Fruin. The role involves leading care delivery, supporting residents, and working on a rotating shift pattern to provide consistent, person-centred care.

Reporting to the Registered Manager, you will contribute to care planning, staff supervision, and training to ensure high standards of support and well-being for residents.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and communicate appropriately at all times.
• Design, implement and deliver recreational events within the home and wider community.
• Contribute to care planning and participate in reviews, including nutrition and hygiene.
• Maintain accurate record keeping.
• Take ownership of key-worker duties and build links with families and significant others.
• Work with the Manager to ensure streamlined service delivery and consistent communication.
• Support staff through supervision and attend staff meetings and hand-over meetings.
• Participate in training and development of the staff team and your own development.

SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER – ADULT SERVICES - LEARNING DISABILITIES- TIGH FRUIN

Due to continued organisational growth and development opportunities for our current staff, we are recruiting for a Senior Support Workers to join our staff teams at Tigh Fruin in Hayton, Retford. Working 08:00-21:00 on a rotating shift pattern of Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, followed by Week 2: Wednesday and Thursday.

About the position:

Reporting into the Registered Manager, the Senior Support Worker is responsible for advocating and providing person centred care and supporting our staff team to perform their wide range of duties appropriately and effectively, ensuring they can deliver the best possible care and support to our residents.

What will you be doing:

• Positively contribute to the personal development of our residents with both practical and emotional support.
• Lead by example, behave and communicate appropriately at all times.
• Design, implement, deliver and contribute in a wide range of innovative and exciting recreational events within the home and wider community. This will involve regular outings and trips and on occasion, extended visits and holidays.
• Using knowledge and experience, contribute positively to care planning and participate supportively in reviews as requested, demonstrating a sound knowledge regarding nutrition and hygiene.
• Maintain accurate, clear and concise record keeping.
• Take ownership for key-worker duties and where appropriate look to develop and strengthen links with families, friends and relevant significant others.
• Work in partnership with the Manager to ensure streamlined service delivery and consistent communication across the homes.
• Proactively participate in supporting the staff team to include carrying out supervisions as requested.
• Attend and contribute positively to regular staff meetings and hand-over meetings, ensuring all relevant information is disseminated appropriately and in a timely manner.
• Contribute positively to the training and development of the staff team to include own personal development / highlighting any training needs.
