Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker in Reading to help create a safe, therapeutic home environment for children aged 8-18 who have experienced trauma. You will lead a team, support emotional development, and contribute to safeguarding and multi-agency collaboration.

The role requires a Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to achieve) and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in a residential setting.
• Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve within required timescale.
• Strong safeguarding responsibilities and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive relationships with children and young people, supporting their views and emotional resilience.
• Follow policies to maintain a safe setting.
• Mentor and support Residential Support Workers; participate in supervision.
• Collaborate with social workers, health teams and families.
