Job summary

Compass Community Limited is seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker in Nottingham to lead shifts, supervise staff, and implement placement plans while safeguarding children. You will build trusting relationships, support education, and model professional conduct in a challenging residential setting.

You need at least 12 months’ experience as a Residential Support Worker, be 22 or older, hold or be working towards Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare with half the qualification

Qualifications

22+ years of age or older to meet Ofsted requirements.
Minimum 12 months' experience as a Residential Support Worker.
Currently holds or working towards Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare with at least 50% completed.
Able to provide evidence of progress and transfer qualification to Compass.
Must have a valid manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

Lead shifts and supervise staff in a residential setting.
Ensure placement plans are followed and education is supported.
Develop and maintain safeguarding and risk assessments as part of daily duties.
Support welfare and provide guidance to residential workers.
