Job summary
The People Pod is seeking a Senior Development Manager to lead housebuilding projects across the North West. You’ll own projects through their full development lifecycle, coordinating planning, technical delivery, infrastructure coordination and mobilisation to delivery.
You will work closely with Technical, Commercial, Construction and external consultants to ensure plans are robust, commercially viable and delivered efficiently, with exposure to senior leadership and long‑term progression
Qualifications
- Housebuilding or residential development experience.
- Strong understanding of the development lifecycle.
- Experience managing technical teams and external consultants.
- Good knowledge of planning, infrastructure and utilities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to balance programme, technical and commercial requirements.
- Previous experience operating at Development Manager or Senior Technical Manager level.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects through RIBA Stages 1-6.
- Manage technical consultants and wider project teams.
- Coordinate planning, infrastructure and utility approvals.
- Oversee S104, S38 and S278 agreements.
- Monitor programme, risk and project delivery.
- Support value engineering and buildability reviews.
- Coordinate pre-construction and technical delivery activities.
- Chair project meetings and report progress to senior leadership.
- Work closely with Construction, Commercial and Technical teams.
- Support project strategy and future development opportunities.
