Job summary

The People Pod in the North West is seeking a Senior Development Manager to lead residential schemes from inception through delivery. You’ll own planning, technical delivery, infrastructure coordination and project mobilisation, ensuring projects are well planned and commercially robust.

You’ll manage technical consultants, coordinate planning approvals (S104, S38, S278), monitor programmes and risk, chair meetings and collaborate with Construction, Commercial and Technical teams to drive value

Qualifications

• Experience in housebuilding or residential development.
• Strong understanding of the development lifecycle and project delivery.
• Proven ability to manage technical teams and external consultants.
• Knowledge of planning, infrastructure and utilities is essential.

• Lead projects through RIBA Stages 1-6.
• Manage technical consultants and wider project teams.

Our client is a growing construction contractor delivering a mix of private sale, affordable and partnership housing developments across the country. With a healthy pipeline of live and forthcoming projects, the business is looking to strengthen its development and technical capability as it continues to expand.

We're looking for a Senior Development Manager to take ownership of projects through the full development lifecycle, leading planning, technical delivery, infrastructure coordination and project mobilisation through to completion.

Working closely with Technical, Commercial, Construction and external consultant teams, you’ll play a key role in ensuring projects are well planned, commercially robust and delivered efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects through RIBA Stages 1-6
• Manage technical consultants and wider project teams
• Coordinate planning, infrastructure and utility approvals

What We're Looking For

• Ability to balance programme, technical and commercial requirements
• Previous experience operating at Development Manager, Senior Technical Manager or similar level
