Job summary

CFC Underwriting is seeking a Senior Reporting Accountant to join its growing Finance team in London. You’ll take ownership of external reporting, ensuring statutory, regulatory and audit requirements are met as the business grows, combining technical accounting with a practical, hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with external reporting experience.
• Experience preparing or reviewing statutory financial statements.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and external reporting.
• Experience working with external auditors.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication across diverse teams.
• Proactive and collaborative, with ability to challenge when needed.
• Interest in improving processes and strengthening controls.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation of Group and entity-level statutory financial statements.
• Produce accurate reporting and schedules by deadlines.
• Coordinate information and respond to external auditors’ queries.
• Ensure reporting complies with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare technical accounting papers and resolve complex issues.
• Maintain documentation, reconciliations and audit trails.
• Collaborate with Finance teams across the Group to gather reporting information.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and controls.
• Support wider Finance projects as the business evolves.
