Job summary

Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking a Renewables Operations Manager to lead power plant operations remotely across the UK, ensuring compliance, safety and performance.

You'll manage operational and maintenance teams, develop annual plans, manage budgets and CAPEX, and build strong client relationships while engaging with regulators and stakeholders. This role demands a degree, substantial energy-sector experience and a track record in senior management, with hands-on site engagement as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree and have substantial experience in the energy sector or major hazard industries.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing energy-related assets effectively.
• Proven track record of operating at a senior management level within equivalent industries.
• Capable of strategic-level thinking while managing day-to-day operations and performance.
• Extensive experience in team and site management, including coaching and staff absence management.
• Willingness to visit power plant sites during ongoing operations and take decisive action.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Accountable Person for Power Plants, ensuring compliance with Operating Standards, SHEQ, and legislative requirements.
• Lead and manage operational and maintenance teams to achieve safety, efficiency, and performance goals.
• Build and maintain effective client relationships to ensure safe, efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and deliver annual operating and business plans, ensuring clear communication across teams.
• Plan, control, and optimise budgets, contracts, and CAPEX projects to enhance safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with authorities and stakeholders for regulatory compliance and community engagement.
• Support business growth and share best practices in plant managers' forums.
• Oversee outages, critical maintenance, and provide emergency call-out support as needed.
