Job summary

Rendesco Limited is seeking an installation engineer to oversee heat pump and heat network systems, while supporting and supervising junior engineers on site across the UK. You will install ground source heat pumps, HIUs, and associated heating/cooling piping, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong plumbing/pipefitting experience, knowledge of hydraulic systems, and the ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent.
• Experience installing Ground Source Heat Pump systems.
• Strong plumbing and/or pipefitting experience.
• Experience in domestic renewable energy installations.
• Good knowledge of hydraulic systems and UK regulations.
• Ability to read technical drawings and complete inspection/quality documentation.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel and work away from home.

Responsibilities

• Install and integrate ground source heat pumps and HIUs.
• Plumbing and pipefitting for heating, cooling and hot water systems.
• Install insulation, lagging and related equipment.
• Carrying out basic electrical and control work.
• Diagnose and fix technical issues.
• Read technical drawings to ensure quality and regulatory standards.
• Support and supervise junior engineers.
• Experience with district heat networks and pre-insulated pipework is desirable.
