Job summary

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a motivated renal nurse to join Peters Ward as a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse. The role offers leadership opportunities, coordination of safe patient care, and development within a leading renal service at Hammersmith Hospital.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, promote a positive culture and drive improvements in patient experience and outcomes while supporting the Ward Manager in operational management.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with UK registration.
• Teaching qualification or equivalent experience.
• Specialist course or equivalent experience in renal.
• Experience in leadership/management within a ward.
• Knowledge of quality improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned care for a group of patients without direct supervision.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based patient care.
• Assist and advise staff in delivering patient care.
• Plan, organise and deploy staff according to workload to meet patient needs.
• Assist in orienting new staff and students.
• Ensure nursing practices comply with Trust policies and procedures.
• Keep up to date with developments in nursing and evidence-based practice.
• Develop skills pertaining to the renal speciality as advised by senior staff.
