Job summary

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a dynamic renal nurse to expand our Renal Home Therapies (RHT) offerings. You will train patients in PD and HHD, coordinate units, and work with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality home-based dialysis care.

We value teaching, advanced assessment, and robust nursing leadership. The role offers autonomous practice within a supportive NHS Trust with a strong focus on patient safety and education.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with ongoing CPD showing advanced assessment skills.
• Renal course post-registration (ENB 136 or equivalent).
• Teaching qualification (ENB 998 or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned care and training for a patient group with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate PD and HHD training at Home Therapies units and satellite sites.
• Plan, organize and deploy patients into training programs according to suitability.
• Prioritize workload; discuss targets with Head Nurse and adjust action plans.
• Assess needs of patients, relatives and carers; liaise with dietician, counsellor and transplant team.
