Job summary

Amazon.com, Inc is seeking a Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineer to lead proactive and preventative maintenance on a wide range of site equipment at our UK distribution sites. You will diagnose faults, implement improvements, and ensure safety and efficiency while supporting apprentices and rolling out best practices across EU sites.

The role requires strong knowledge of conveyors, PLCs, NEC standards, and CMMS tools, with a commitment to shift work and site leadership.

Qualifications

• NVQ/SVQ/IVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical, electrical or mechatronics.
• Completed a full engineering indentured apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 equivalent.
• Experience with automated conveyors systems and controls.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with PLC programs and industrial electronics.
• Familiar with NEC and work order management.

Responsibilities

• Proactive and preventative maintenance on site equipment.
• Perform reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse.
• Use tools to maximise equipment effectiveness.
• Uphold health and safety policies.
• Support development of on-site apprentices.
• Lead continuous improvement projects across EU sites.
