Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. is seeking a Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineer (RME) Technician to lead a shift, manage equipment performance and drive improvements across EU networks. You will ensure safe operation, mentor technicians, and implement standardised maintenance practices.

The role requires hands-on expertise in electrical/mechanical systems, PLCs, SCADA, and CMMS usage, with a strong emphasis on safety and uptime. Willingness to work nights and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma or higher as a baseline.
• NVQ Level 3/SVQ 3/IVQ3/City & Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics.
• 4 years UK certified apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Experience working with automated conveyors systems and controls, PLC programs, and NEC.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate best practice on equipment safety and oversee team adherence to processes.
• Monitor equipment performance and schedule preventative maintenance and servicing.
• Supervise shift technicians and act as first point of contact for RME engineers.
• Resolve equipment issues to minimise downtime and support fast packaging operations.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardise processes across the EU network.
