Job summary
NMI is building a mature Reliability Engineering function and seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement reliability frameworks, tooling, and guardrails that improve uptime and observability. You will lead hands-on work across multiple services, mentor engineers, and help foster a culture of engineered reliability with strong ownership and delivery discipline.

Qualifications
- 6+ years building production-grade systems.
- Strong PHP backend experience and willingness to learn other languages.
- Experience with reliability solutions, observability, and guardrails.
Responsibilities
- Design and build reliability-focused frameworks, tooling and standards.
- Lead initiatives to shift from reactive incident response to proactive engineering.
- Partner with engineering teams to embed reliability into design and deployment workflows.
- Establish and evolve observability practices with metrics, logs, alerts and dashboards.
- Mentor engineers, modeling ownership and disciplined delivery.
