Job summary

JUXT in the United Kingdom seeks experienced Forward Deployed Engineers to evangelize Continuous Delivery, automated testing, and safe automated deployments. The role blends Software Engineering, DevOps and SRE, with a practical, hands-on focus (roughly 70% coding).

You will conduct targeted engagements, build test suites, upgrade runtimes, containerize apps, and champion secure, observable deployments across teams.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience with TDD using multiple frameworks.
• Strong grasp of automated testing approaches and selecting the best strategy (with AI support).
• Proficiency in JVM languages and TypeScript.
• Ability to write high quality, maintainable code.
• Knowledge of safe practices for critical systems, deployment architecture and observability.
• Experience with multiple CI/CD systems.
• Strong secure coding practices knowledge.
• Competent with Docker and OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Active engagement with AI-driven coding.
• Familiar with Gradle, Maven, and npm.

Responsibilities

• Engage with development teams to improve release cadence.
• Hands-on work including building test suites and smoke tests.
• Source and mock data, implement data masking.
• Upgrade runtimes (Java or NPM) and containerize apps.
• Upgrade dependencies and ensure ongoing current state.
• Automate library updates with Renovate.
• Introduce best practice source control and branch management.
• Improve code review processes and security patterns.
• Automate deployment processes and database changes with Liquibase and Ansible.
• Establish standard observability and improve logging.
