About the Team

A leading UK specialist regulatory law practice, consistently ranked in the top tier by both Legal 500 and Chambers UK, is seeking a Senior or Principal Associate to join its highly regarded Professional Discipline team.

The practice is recognised nationally for its expertise in fitness to practise and regulatory law, with a long-established reputation for handling complex, sensitive, and high-profile matters. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, intellectually rigorous, and purpose-driven environment where your work directly contributes to public protection, professional standards, and patient safety.

The Role

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior lawyers and support staff
  • Provide clear, practical, and strategic advice to clients, counsel, and experts
  • Act as an escalation point for legal and strategic issues within the team
  • Instruct and liaise with counsel and expert witnesses, including preparation of briefs and conferences
  • Review witness evidence and expert reports, identifying issues and areas for clarification
  • Prepare high-quality submissions, reports, and case documents
  • Contribute to business development, client engagement, and profile-raising initiatives
  • Support continuous improvement, training, and knowledge sharing across the team
