Job summary

Michael Page Legal is seeking an experienced Litigator to join a major UK regulatory organisation based in the West Midlands. You will take a leading role on complex and high profile investigations, managing cases from initial strategy through to resolution and Tribunal proceedings.

The role offers a salary of £91,100 alongside an excellent overall package including 30 days annual leave, flexible bank holidays, the ability to purchase additional leave and a generous 10% employer pension

Qualifications

  • Must be a solicitor, barrister or equivalent with 5+ years PQE in litigation or regulatory disputes.
  • Experience handling complex investigations and large volumes of evidence, with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to lead case strategy, manage senior stakeholders and coordinate with external counsel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex regulatory and professional disciplinary investigations.
  • Develop case strategy and drive investigations through to resolution.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams including lawyers, forensic specialists and legal assistants.
  • Analyse complex evidence and provide clear legal and strategic advice.
  • Instruct and work with counsel, external solicitors and independent experts.
  • Prepare cases for Tribunal proceedings and manage key hearing elements.
  • Supervise and develop junior members of the legal team.

Description
  • Leading complex regulatory and professional disciplinary investigations
  • Developing case strategy and driving investigations through to resolution

Profile
  • A solicitor, barrister or equivalent with typically 5+ years PQE
  • Experienced in litigation, disputes, contentious regulatory work or professional discipline
  • Able to manage complex investigations and large volumes of evidence
  • An excellent legal analyst with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable developing case strategy and making robust legal decisions
  • Experienced in working with senior stakeholders, counsel and external experts
  • Able to lead teams and support the development of more junior lawyers
  • Motivated by complex regulatory work and matters with a genuine public interest impact
