National Highways is seeking a Senior Lawyer in a hybrid role based in the UK. You will deliver specialist regulatory and information rights advice, shape strategy, and support public safety objectives across high-profile infrastructure projects.

The role emphasizes independent leadership, senior stakeholder engagement, and mentoring junior colleagues, with travel to other offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister authorised to practice in the UK.
• Strong experience across regulatory, health and safety, public, information rights and cyber resilience areas.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders at senior levels and deliver written and oral advice.
• Experience leading complex matters autonomously and guiding junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist regulatory, health and safety, coronial, criminal, public law, information rights and cyber resilience advice.
• Build and manage relationships with internal/external stakeholders and supervise external lawyers when required.
• Guide and support junior team members on complex matters and ensure timely delivery.
