Job summary

University of Nottingham is seeking a Senior Lawyer (Regulatory and Contentious) to lead regulatory and contentious matters, serving as the in‑house point of contact for related advice and support. The role involves autonomous handling of complex cases and supervising the Regulatory and Contentious Lawyers within the team.

You will collaborate with senior lawyers across Commercial and Employment areas, in a recently restructured Legal Services team.

Qualifications

• Experienced Solicitor or Barrister.
• Expertise in regulatory law.
• Excellent communication and IT skills.
• Caseload management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal advisor for regulatory and contentious matters.
• In-house point of contact for related legal advice and support.
• Supervise and manage Regulatory and Contentious Lawyers.
• Collaborate across Commercial and Employment areas.
• Work in a hybrid environment with a 36.25 hour week.
