Job summary

The Stephen James Partnership is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel - Regulatory for its Global Legal function. This role focuses on Markets, Tokenisation and Digital Assets within a leading global financial institution and requires strong regulatory expertise, coupled with commercial mindset.

Hybrid working is offered, with a balance of senior stakeholder interaction and high-quality, cross-functional work. Excellent communication and collaborative attitude are essential to succeed in this team.

Qualifications

• Strong regulatory lawyer with financial services background and significant PQE.
• Experience in a recognised law firm or leading financial institution is preferred.
• Digital Assets exposure is a plus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical advice on financial services regulatory matters across Markets & Securities Services.
• Monitor UK and EU regulatory developments.
• Advise on Tokenisation, Digital Assets and Currencies.
• Address complex legal, conduct and reputational risk.
• Assist with commercial and transaction documentation.
