Job summary

Stantec seeks a Principal Consultant in Regulatory Advice to lead high-impact engagements across water, energy and infrastructure sectors. You will provide strategic, economic and governance advice on price controls, compliance obligations, incentives and performance commitments.

You will mentor junior staff, support Directors with program delivery, and drive business growth through proposals and thought leadership across UK clients, with hybrid working and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

Senior regulatory experience in regulated water/energy sectors.
Experience with Price Review/revenue-setting processes (AMP cycles, multi-year determinations).
Knowledge of governance, assurance standards and internal controls.
Strong regulatory policy and strategy knowledge.
Experience in cost modelling or business case appraisal.
Proven track record of winning work and proposal development.
Excellent stakeholder management and senior-level credibility.
Strong project leadership including planning, resourcing and risk management.
Analytical capability to interpret financial/performance data.
Experience mentoring and developing junior staff.

Responsibilities

Lead delivery of high-impact regulatory advisory engagements for clients in regulated sectors.
Provide strategic, economic, and governance advice on regulatory frameworks and incentives.
