Circle Health Group's Duchy Hospital in Harrogate is hiring a Senior Registered Nurse for the Pre Assessment department. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with a flexible shift pattern.

You will deliver high-quality nursing care for complex patients, provide leadership and mentoring to staff, and ensure infection control and patient safety. Active NMC registration and substantial post-registration experience are required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with active NMC registration.
• Significant post-registration experience in an acute or relevant clinical setting.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support a nursing team.
• Strong clinical decision-making and time management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care and lead assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for complex patients.
• Make timely clinical decisions using advanced knowledge and escalate when necessary.
• Provide day-to-day supervision and support to nursing and healthcare assistant staff.
• Mentor and develop students and junior staff through coaching and clinical supervision.
• Uphold a culture of safety with infection prevention, safeguarding, medicines management and risk reporting.
• Act as key contact for patients and families, offering updates and information for shared decision-making.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of assessments, care plans, interventions and evaluations.

We have an opportunity for an Senior Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in thePre Assessment department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care and lead on the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for complex patients.
• Use advanced clinical knowledge to make timely and appropriate decisions, escalating where necessary.
• Provide day-to-day supervision and support to nursing and healthcare assistant staff.
• Support the learning and development of students, junior nurses, and new team members through mentoring, coaching, and clinical supervision.
• Uphold a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with infection prevention, safeguarding, medicines management, and risk reporting procedures.
• Act as a key contact for patients and their families, offering clinical updates, reassurance, and information to support shared decision-making.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of clinical assessments, care plans, interventions, and evaluations.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with active NMC registration.
• Significant post-registration experience in an acute or relevant clinical setting.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support a nursing team.
• Strong clinical decision-making, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-focused approach.
• Confidence in working independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
