Circle Health Group is recruiting a Senior Registered Nurse for the Oncology department at Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow. This full-time, permanent role offers a 37.5-hour week with a flexible shift pattern and a salary of up to £48,940 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate will deliver SACT safely, perform thorough pre-treatment assessments, and provide clinical leadership while supporting junior staff and driving governance and quality

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Significant post-registration experience in oncology nursing.
• Level 6 or 7 qualification in administration of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT).
• Proven experience delivering SACT independently and safely.
• Strong understanding of oncology pathways, treatment regimens, and supportive care.
• Knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety, and medicines management.

• Undertake comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring during treatment cycles.
• Provide clinical leadership and guidance to junior nurses and support staff in SACT service.
• Support induction, supervision and competency assessment of nursing staff delivering SACT.
• Ensure governance frameworks, chemotherapy standards, COSHH and medicines management are followed.
• Participate in clinical audit and incident reporting to drive service improvement.

The Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow Is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in the Oncology department.

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties Of This Role Include

• Deliver Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) safely and effectively in line with national guidance, local policies, and competency frameworks.
• Undertake comprehensive patient assessments, including pre-treatment review, toxicity assessment, and ongoing monitoring throughout treatment cycles.
• Provide clinical leadership and day-to-day guidance to junior nurses and support staff within the SACT service.
• Support induction, supervision, and competency assessment of nursing staff delivering SACT.
• Ensure compliance with SACT governance frameworks, including national chemotherapy standards, COSHH, and medicines management requirements.
• Participate in clinical audit, incident reporting, and investigation, contributing to shared learning and service improvement.

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Significant post-registration experience in oncology nursing.
• Level 6 or 7 qualification in the administration of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT).
• Proven experience delivering SACT independently and safely.
• Strong understanding of oncology pathways, treatment regimens, and supportive care.
• Demonstrable knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety, and medicines management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients in emotionally challenging situations.
