Circle Health Group is recruiting a Registered Nurse (Adult) for the Oncology & Haematology team at Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow. This 36-hour part-time role offers permanent employment within Circle Health Group’s Cancer Services department.

You will deliver safe and individualised nursing care across inpatient, day-case and outpatient settings, support chemotherapy and other treatments, and work within the multidisciplinary team to maintain patient safety and high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration.
• Experience in Oncology and/or Haematology or relevant transferable skills.
• Sound understanding of clinical governance, patient safety and evidence-based practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective nursing care to Oncology and Haematology patients across inpatient, day-case and outpatient settings.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care per treatment pathways and care plans.
• Support patients undergoing cancer treatments including chemotherapy and transfusions.
• Administer prescribed treatments in line with policies and guidance.
• Support safe delivery of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) where trained.
• Work with the MDT and liaise with consultants, pharmacists and allied health professionals.

Salary: Up to £44,791.67 FTE per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in the Cancer Services department.

This is a part time role for 36 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties Of This Role Include

• Deliver safe, effective, and individualised nursing care to Oncology and Haematology patients across inpatient, day-case and outpatient settings.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in line with agreed treatment pathways and care plans.
• Support patients undergoing cancer and haematological treatments, including chemotherapy, transfusions, and supportive therapies (where trained).
• Administer prescribed treatments and medications in line with local policies, national guidance, and competency frameworks.
• Support the safe delivery of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) where trained and authorised, or work towards SACT competency as required.
• Work in accordance with NMC Code, Circle Health Group policies, and national Oncology/Haematology standards.
• Work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team, liaising with consultants, pharmacists, specialist nurses, and allied health professionals.

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration.
• Experience working in an Oncology and/or Haematology setting, or strong demonstrable interest with relevant transferable skills.
• Sound understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients in emotionally challenging situations.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced clinical environment.
