Job summary

Circle Health Group in Enfield is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Oncology/Haematology team on a 30-hour per week basis. The role is permanent and based at Kings Oak Hospital, with flexible shift patterns to cover.

The ideal candidate will hold current NMC registration, have oncology/haematology experience or strong transferable skills, and be committed to delivering high-quality patient care within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of clinical governance and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective nursing care to Oncology/Haematology patients across inpatient, day-case and outpatient settings.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care per treatment pathways and care plans.
• Support patients undergoing cancer treatments, including chemotherapy and transfusions (where trained).
• Monitor for treatment-related side effects and escalate concerns as needed.
• Provide holistic care addressing physical, emotional, and informational needs of patients and families.
• Administer prescribed treatments in line with policies and competency frameworks.

Salary: Up to £35,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Overview

Kings Oak & Cavell Hospitals in Enfield are part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.
We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in the Oncology department.
This is a parttime role for 30 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties Of This Role Include

• Deliver safe, effective, and individualised nursing care to Oncology and Haematology patients across inpatient, day-case and outpatient settings.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in line with agreed treatment pathways and care plans.
• Support patients undergoing cancer and haematological treatments, including chemotherapy, transfusions, and supportive therapies (where trained).
• Monitor patients for treatment-related side effects, complications, and deterioration, escalating concerns appropriately.
• Provide holistic care that addresses physical, emotional, psychological, and informational needs of patients and their families.
• Administer prescribed treatments and medications in line with local policies, national guidance, and competency frameworks.

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration.
• Experience working in an Oncology and/or Haematology setting, or strong demonstrable interest with relevant transferable skills.
• Sound understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence‑based practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients in emotionally challenging situations.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
• Post‑registration experience in Oncology, Haematology, or cancer services.
• SACT qualification.
• Experience in private healthcare, acute hospital, or specialist cancer services.
• Evidence of involvement in audits, service improvement, or specialist training.
