Job summary

Circle Health Group’s Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow is seeking a Senior Registered Nurse to join the Oncology team. This full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, involves leading and delivering SACT and coordinating care across treatment cycles.

The role requires an NMC-registered adult nurse with oncology experience and a Level 6/7 SACT qualification, to provide clinical leadership and ensure safe, high-quality patient care within a dynamic cancer services setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Significant post-registration experience in oncology nursing.
• Level 6 or 7 qualification in the administration of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT).
• Proven experience delivering SACT independently and safely.
• Strong understanding of oncology pathways, treatment regimens, and supportive care.
• Demonstrable knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety, and medicines management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients in emotionally challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) safely and effectively in line with national guidance, local policies, and competency frameworks.
• Undertake comprehensive patient assessments, including pre-treatment review, toxicity assessment, and ongoing monitoring throughout treatment cycles.
• Provide clinical leadership and day-to-day guidance to junior nurses and support staff within the SACT service.
• Support induction, supervision, and competency assessment of nursing staff delivering SACT.
• Ensure compliance with SACT governance frameworks, including national chemotherapy standards, COSHH, and medicines management requirements.
• Participate in clinical audit, incident reporting, and investigation, contributing to shared learning and service improvement.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in theOncology department.

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.
